Day 24: Final Destination- Moab, Utah

Today was a total, complete nature day. We drove to Kodachrome Basin State Park, and saw tons of red rock formations. We drove to Shakespeare's Arch, and did a little bit of hiking. Later we drove over "washboard roads" as they called it. We've never been on any road so bumpy. We climbed over the huge rock, and we heard the conversation of the families in front of us. "Hey, you got a gun?" "No, why?" "Oh, there's a rattlesnake right beside this rock." We weren't fortunate to see it though. We saw lots of desert today, and earth that looked like it could've been Mars. No civilisation whatsoever, no water, no people, just gray huge mounds of rock. It was really interesting, and a day to get friendly with the outdoors. Just before ariving in Moab, we saw petroglyphs on the rocks. They were designs that the Indians carved in the rock. We ate at the restaurant Ed McStiffy...it was a full day.
